Customer Appreciation Furnace Winner

Jennings Heating would like to congratulate Greg Lancione on winning a furnace at our Customer Appreciation Party to celebrate our 80th Anniversary on October 22, 2011. The festivities included coffee and doughnuts in the morning, a cookout in the afternoon and a raffle of several prizes to end the day. The party was a great success and Greg was the lucky winner of a new high efficiency Amana furnace.

The Lancione’s moved to Akron in 1966. He and his wife were originally from a small town outside of Pittsburgh. They are of course, Steelers fans. Greg is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh and holds a degree in mechanical engineering. He spent his whole career in the plastics manufacturing field. He has worked for a toy company, a custom molding company, and has done some consulting in the plastics field during his retirement.

Mr. Lancione has always loved spending time with his family and enjoying the outdoors. Two of Greg’s favorite past times are hunting and fishing. He has even traveled out West and to Alaska to further explore his love of these sports.

The Lancione family has been customers of Jennings Heating for 45 years. Greg enjoyed the customer appreciation day party very much. His plan was to stop in and turn in his ticket because he was going to be in the neighborhood that day. Once he arrived his plan soon changed. He helped himself to a pop, a hot dog, and some potato salad and sat down to chat with two very nice ladies. He was getting up to leave and the ladies talked him into sticking around for a while. Then the drawing started. Before he knew it Mike Foraker, Jennings Heating Company’s president, called his name. He was so totally taken by surprise when we called his name, he said “I almost fainted”. He said he thought “no, it can’t be me; I don’t have that kind of luck.” When he got home and told his wife the wonderful news she said “Are you sure”?

Mr. Lancione said ’the installation went wonderfully. The installers were really good and very professional”.

All of us at Jennings Heating would like to thank Mr. & Mrs. Lancione for being such loyal customers for so many years.  We look forward to serving them and all of our customers for many more years to come.
