Explore different kinds of air conditioning systems
There are many different kinds of air conditioners available on the market, but the basic idea remains the same with all systems. They all consist of a pump, fluid, condenser and evaporator. Then where does the difference lie? This article intends to explore all kinds of AC equipment and their service areas.
Types of ACs
Window AC – Such types of systems are most commonly used in homes and small offices. These are more inexpensive than other air conditioners and are able to fit in a personal room, bedroom or hall. After fitting any of the window air conditioning systems, one need not open the windows of the room. They are comprised of a compressor, a condenser, an expansion coil, an evaporator, etc. all housed in one box. If the size of the room is less than 120 sq. feet, a 0.8 ton window AC will be sufficient.
Split AC – These devices are suitable for those rooms where there are no windows. They are usually installed when one does not want to disturb the whole setup of the place. Two main parts of such systems are – indoor unit and outdoor unit. The indoor part is installed inside the room and produces a cooling effect. The outdoor part is placed outside the room and consists of a condenser coil, a compressor and capillary tubing. Continue reading →
